LAFAP

LAFAP (Logik Absolut Fehl am Platz) is a real-time monitoring and analysis project focused on the German TikTok ecosystem. Using its self-hosted AI system, Azrael Sentinel, the platform analyzes livestream audio, chat logs, and viral trends to highlight and critically discuss societal issues, misinformation, and problematic content. The system runs entirely on dedicated, self-hosted hardware using a local open-source pipeline. It leverages a local Whisper model for transcription and a fine-tuned 1.5B parameter language model running on CPU cores. To maintain speed and reduce costs, the AI utilizes a four-stage decision cascade, resolving over 90% of requests via deterministic rules and local database checks before invoking the language model. LAFAP is an open-source project, with its entire codebase—covering multi-destination restreaming, chat moderation, and its AI core—freely available on GitHub under the GPLv3 license. The project is funded through user donations.
