ShowShark

ShowShark is a personal media server and streaming application built specifically for Apple hardware. The system consists of a player app that runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, Apple Watch, and Apple Vision Pro, alongside a server application that runs on Mac computers running macOS 14 or later. The server application indexes media files in place from local directories, external hard drives, and network-attached storage (NAS) devices. It streams movies, television shows, music, podcasts, YouTube subscriptions, photo albums, and IPTV to connected client devices, with support for offline downloads and remote streaming without requiring manual router port forwarding. The software operates on a one-time purchase model to unlock full-length streaming, avoiding recurring subscription fees. All media metadata, transcoding, and network routing are managed locally on the user's hardware rather than relying on external cloud servers.
